My name is Michelle Miller and I have been an award-winning portrait and special event photographer for more than 35 years. I operated a very successful portrait studio in Folsom, California, just east of Sacramento, while I raised my family there. I really loved getting to know the hundreds of families I was blessed to meet, and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the youngest children when they were babies and later when they became adults, got married and had children of their own. My studio was truly the “Portrait Studio for all of the Seasons of Your Life”. I was nationally certified as a Professional Photographer in the year 2000.
In 2014 my husband and I took a trip to Kauai and fell in love with the island and the people here. I told my husband that I would love to move here and he said, “Good luck with that!”, which obviously motivated me to find a way to make it happen! So I created a 5-year plan that involved selling our home and growing and selling our online powersports parts business. It wasn’t easy, but 5 years later we made an offer on a home and it was accepted. Two months later we moved into our beautiful home here.
Now my goal is to provide “Island Style Portraits for you and Your Loved Ones”. We are so thrilled to be able to live this beautiful, tropical lifestyle and enjoy the blessings of my photography business – meeting both local residents and tourists who also love this island and who want to have portraits taken or hold a wedding or vow renewal ceremony to commemorate their time here.
